SEASONAL LISTINGS:

SPRING 2010

STORE HOURS:

Tuesday - Saturday: 9-5
OPEN DAILY IN MAY

Did you know?

Perennial hibiscus are the very last thing to come up in the spring, sometimes not sprouting until the beginning of June. This wonderful late summer/fall bloomer is well worth having . . . just be patient.

New for 2010
We will be selling Burpee vegetables (grown in our greenhouses). There will be several varieties of tomatoes, peppers, cukes, squash, lettuce, and more.

ASK MR. PICKLES AND SARGENT PEPPER

We have a big announcement. Our Melanie had the biggest kitten we have ever seen. It took her nine months (that's 4 1/2 years in cat time!). Her name is Makayla Sky. She weighted in at 7 pounds and 5 ounces and came to us on February 12th.

We are a little worried because she has no tail, fur, or whiskers, but otherwise we think she's as cute as a catnip mouse!!

Meow - Melanie. Good job.

Dear Pickles & Pepper:

Our real estate salesman says an "outdoor room" would help sell our house, but we don't have a big budget. Any ideas?

Dear "Unsellable:"
Pepper and I love lounging in an outdoor room!!! Find a peaceful quiet spot in your yard (good for bird watching! Oops, sorry!). Add a nice bench or 2 small table and chairs, then some groups of tropical plants and flowers, perhaps a fountain. There, you have a place to relax. Even humans like to relax now and then. Pepper and I recommend that you use any empty boxes from the project for "kittie condos." You could get as much as 3 mice a day for rent. What a fortune!! Oh no, my owners tell me I'm in trouble again!!!

Dear Pickles & Pepper:

My combo containers never look good. What should I do?

Signed:
"Mombo Jombo Combo "

Dear "Mombo:"
My owners say a successful container garden comes from good soil, good fertilizer, and the right plants. Plants should be well matched in water and light requirements to grow well together. They can help you with this.

Pepper and I think catnip works well in all containers!!

Signing off,
"Pickles & Pepper"
